Zim Zari

All you can eat....and still gourmet? Get quantity and quality at Zim Zari California Coastal Grill. Located in a shopping center on Merrick Road in Massapequa Park, this restaurant is definitely a hidden gem. With a surf 'n turf atmosphere and great nightly specials, this place is almost too good to be true! You can dress up, dress down, eat in, or take out. With a vast menu with everything from tacos, to wings, to salads, Zim Zari offers variety at a great price.

They open early enough for brunch the entire week (11:30 AM) and stay open until 10 PM, except on the weekends where they open until 11 PM. Zim Zari doesn't only offer great food, but also a fully stocked bar where you can sit an enjoy a drink from the varied menu. They are also well known for their home made sangrias and tasty (and big) margaritas.

Weeknight specials are as follows:
Margartia Mondays- Margaritas for $3
Taco Tuesday- $2 tacos
Wednesday- BOGO Fajitas
Thirsty Thursday- $3 Beer, Sangria and Appetizers (After 5 PM)

This California Coastal Grill is a great steal. The environment, prices, and location make it impossible to pass up!

Frozen Yogurt Delight

If you're a fan of frozen yogurt you have to try Red Mango! They have a variety of flavors that switch up from time to time. Coconut is my new favorite flavor. They have many different locations- Massapequa Park, Merrick, Hempstead, Hicksville (coming soon*) and much more! There's so many different topping options that range from super unhealthy if you want to treat yourself, to delicious, fresh, healthy choices if you just hit the gym. Red Mango also offers parfaits, hot chocolate, smoothies, and pro-biotic beverages. It is the perfect snack for summer, so make sure to try it out once it gets nice again. #yogurtqueen

The Good Life

Fellow foodies, I recently stumbled upon a cute little place in Massapequa Park called The Good Life. It is on the corner of Park Boulevard just past the Massapequa Park train station. There are so many different food and drink options to choose from and I promise you, nothing will disappoint. Their menu is printed on a newspaper, making the whole experience feel as if you are sitting in your home. The staff is really friendly and helpful and will tell you if they don't like a particular meal. They are open for business at all hours- their kitchen closes at 2 am every single night. My favorite was the skirt steak served with asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. They even have outside seating so you can eat and enjoy the nice weather at the same time.
With an entirely large beer menu, this restaurant counts as a great night out as well! In fact, once a month, The Good Life has a 'Beer Dinner', "a monthly gathering to showcase and celebrate the marraige of Beer and Food." You pay the fixed amount and get to enjoy food, drinks, and transportation to a brewery. They start at 8pm and go all night.
This place is too good to pass up, so get on it. #foodforthought

I've gone greek

In the mood for amazing Greek food? No need to look further, Souvlaki Stop is the place to go. Located on  Mineola Blvd in Mineola, this place has everything greek from salads, to spinach pie, to pitas and more! They are very fairly priced and give an extremely large portion for the price. The food is delicious and there are so many different options to choose from, it's nearly impossible to make a decision. Check it out! #GreekLife

Seaqua

If you live in Massapequa or Seaford, chances are you've heard of Seaqua Deli. Located on Jerusalem Avenue in Massapequa, they have everything you could want from a deli and are one of the most delicious delis around. They open at 6 AM and stay open until 8 PM! Although it's not one of the cheapest delis, it is definitely worth the price and the wait you'll most likely face while there. One of my favorite sandwiches is the Chicken Cutlet Melt, so go try it out and let me know what you think.

Portofino Ristorante

Want one slice of pizza that could feed an army? Keep looking. BUT Portofino's deep dish slices are extremely filling and delicious. Located in Levittown in the shopping center with Ulta and Mandee's at 3355 Hempstead Tpke, it is great for dining in or taking out. The restaurant boasts authentic Italian cuisine. The pizzeria has our heart though. A deep dish slice from Portofino's is an indescribable experience. The crust is a little crispy on the outside and cooked perfect in the middle. The toppings are gourmet. Our favorites are chicken ala vodka, vegetable, and eggplant parmagiana. It is literally a gourmet meal on top of a deep dish slice of pizza. Amazing. If you are interested in ordering a whole pie, they will customize your toppings with anything you'd like! My family's last order-deep dish pie topped with fried calamari!

Gold Mine

The other night I spotted one of my most frequent fine diners out with her beau at Rare 650 in Syosset. Of course I did my homework to get all the juicy details on the place and I think we might have a winner. Although the restaurant itself is very pricey, it's well worth it...ladies time to call your sugar daddies for this meal. From crab cake to filet mignon to sea scallops over rice, my sources reveal this couple had it all. This prime time steak and sushi house will not disappoint you. You could even enjoy a night out with the girls as there are well over 30 different beverages to choose from on their drink menu. Let's not forget about dessert, my personal favorite- Chocolate Wow (Chocolate Mousse, white chocolate filling and dark chocolate cake covered in chocolate ganache) Either way, this place is a gold mine. #finedining
